The Company Model Components (Aust) Pty Ltd was formed in 2006 as a family business with the agenda of manufacturing a range of Model Boilers, Burner Systems and Fittings for the Model Marine, Gauge 1 Model Locomotive and Stationary Steam Layouts.  It was also undertaken to source a range of quality associated products from Australia and around the world to be offered to our customers through our website and by mail order.

The founder of the business Greg Bailey has been involved in modeling since the age of 10 years when he made his first model boat with the help of his grandfather, since then his interest has expanded into R/C Aircraft, Model Power Boat racing, Clocks and Model Steam of any type (both of Greg's Grandfathers worked at the Ipswich Railway Workshops). Greg has a trade background in Plumbing and Gas Fitting, plus later undertook further studies in Small Engines and Mechanical Engineering. He has also worked in Sales and Management positions for various Automotive, Engineering and Hobby Supply Companies. 

It is through his 40 plus years of experience in these various fields that Model Components are able to bring to their customers a range of quality products, service and advice.
